Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Renewal Course – Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA’s Renewal BLS course trains participants who currently hold a valid AHA BLS certification, to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

Prerequisite – Current American Heart BLS Certification

The AHA’s BLS Renewal Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who currently hold a valid AHA BLS certification and need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

CPR AED and First Aid courses are designed to prepare students for emergencies in a variety of settings, to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, and provide the instruction to react quickly to them.

Who should take this course?

CPR AED and First Aid courses are designed for lay rescuers and those with little to no medical training; from child care providers, foster parents, personal trainers, adult care givers, to anyone simply seeking the basic knowledge and skills taught.
